Job Summary
Join our dynamic Project Management / Strategy & Transformation team as a Project Officer within a leading financial institution. In this pivotal role, you will be instrumental in ensuring the seamless planning, coordination, and execution of diverse banking projects, contributing directly to our strategic objectives and regulatory compliance. You will play a key part in transforming our services and operations.
Key Responsibilities
- Support Project Managers in the meticulous development of comprehensive project plans, including detailed work plans, budget forecasts, critical timelines, and robust implementation schedules for various banking initiatives.
- Coordinate and facilitate project activities efficiently across all relevant departments, including business units, IT, operations, finance, risk management, and compliance, ensuring cross-functional alignment.
- Proactively monitor project progress against established scope, key milestones, defined deliverables, allocated budgets, and critical timelines, providing early alerts for deviations.
- Prepare and distribute regular project status reports, comprehensive dashboards, impactful presentations, and concise management updates for various stakeholders.
- Maintain a highly organized and complete set of project documentation, including official project plans, meeting minutes, action trackers, risk registers, issue logs, and formal change requests.
- Organize, schedule, and facilitate effective project meetings, workshops, and crucial stakeholder engagement sessions to foster collaboration and communication.
- Diligently follow up on assigned action points from meetings and project plans, ensuring the timely and high-quality completion of all assigned deliverables.
- Identify, track, and escalate potential project risks, emerging issues, inter-project dependencies, and potential delays to the appropriate Project Managers or Head of Project Management.
- Assist Project Managers in the development and rigorous implementation of effective risk mitigation strategies and corrective action plans to keep projects on track.
- Coordinate critical project phases such as user acceptance testing (UAT), comprehensive process reviews, essential training sessions, go-live implementation, and post-implementation reviews where applicable.
- Ensure that all project activities strictly adhere to the Bank's established policies, operational procedures, and robust risk management framework, as well as all relevant regulatory requirements.
Qualifications
- Bachelor's degree in Business Administration, Finance, Information Technology, Project Management, or a closely related field.
- Minimum of 2-4 years of proven experience in a project support or coordination role, preferably within the financial services or banking sector.
- Demonstrated understanding of project management principles, methodologies (e.g., Waterfall, Agile), and lifecycle.
- Project management certification (e.g., CAPM, PMP, PRINCE2 Foundation) is highly advantageous.
- Experience with regulatory compliance in a banking environment is a strong plus.
Required Skills
- Proficiency in project management software (e.g., Microsoft Project, Jira, Asana) and advanced skills in Microsoft Office Suite (Excel, PowerPoint, Word).
- Exceptional organizational and time management skills, with the ability to manage multiple tasks and priorities effectively.
- Strong written and verbal communication skills, capable of preparing clear reports and presenting information concisely to various audiences.
- Demonstrated ability to engage and manage diverse internal and external stakeholders effectively.
- Acute attention to detail for maintaining accurate documentation and tracking project elements.
- Proactive problem-solving abilities and a strong analytical mindset.
- Ability to work collaboratively within a team-oriented environment and independently when required.
- Familiarity with banking operations, financial products, and regulatory frameworks is essential.

Working Conditions
This is a full-time, on-site position based at our Bank/Branch location. The role primarily operates during standard business hours; however, flexibility may be required during critical project phases or for urgent deliverables. You will work in a collaborative office environment, interacting regularly with various departments and stakeholders. Minimal travel may be occasionally required for off-site meetings or training sessions.
