Job Summary
Join our dynamic Programs / Organizational Development team as a Projects & Organizations Development Officer. This pivotal role is crucial for driving our organizational growth, ensuring program effectiveness, and achieving our strategic objectives by securing vital resources and strengthening partnerships to maximize our impact.
Key Responsibilities
- Lead the end-to-end development of viable project ideas, comprehensive proposals, detailed budgets, logical frameworks, and robust implementation plans.
- Drive resource mobilization efforts by actively identifying new funding opportunities, conducting in-depth donor research, and managing an up-to-date funding opportunity pipeline.
- Prepare and submit high-quality, competitive grant applications, expressions of interest, and funding proposals to diverse donors and funding organizations.
- Cultivate and maintain strategic relationships with a diverse range of stakeholders including donors, government institutions, NGOs, private sector partners, and community organizations.
- Support organizational assessments to identify areas for institutional strengthening and contribute to the development and review of strategic plans, policies, and procedures.
- Design and implement robust monitoring plans, develop comprehensive results frameworks, and meticulously track project progress against key performance indicators and objectives.
- Prepare comprehensive donor reports, internal management reports, and contribute to organizational impact reporting to demonstrate effectiveness and accountability.
- Develop compelling communication materials, including organizational profiles, project briefs, success stories, and presentations, ensuring appropriate donor and partner visibility.
- Ensure strict compliance with organizational policies, applicable donor requirements, and industry best practices in all project development and implementation activities.
- Identify, assess, and mitigate project and organizational risks, promoting a culture of accountability, transparency, and ethical conduct.
Qualifications
- Bachelor's degree in Development Studies, Project Management, Business Administration, International Development, Social Sciences, or a closely related field.
- Minimum of 3-5 years of progressive experience in project development, grants management, fundraising, or organizational development, preferably within the non-profit sector.
- Proven track record in successfully developing and securing funding for project proposals, concept notes, and grant applications.
- Professional certification in Project Management (e.g., PMP, PRINCE2), Fundraising, or Monitoring & Evaluation is highly preferred.
Required Skills
- Demonstrated expertise in grant writing, proposal development, and concept note formulation, with a strong portfolio of successful funding applications.
- Proficiency in project management methodologies and tools (e.g., MS Project, Asana, Trello) for effective planning, tracking, and reporting.
- Strong financial literacy and hands-on experience in developing and managing project budgets, including donor-specific budget templates.
- Advanced research skills for identifying new funding opportunities, donor priorities, and potential strategic partnership prospects.
- Exceptional written and verbal communication skills for compelling report writing, impactful presentations, and effective stakeholder engagement.
- Proven ability to cultivate, negotiate, and maintain strategic partnerships with diverse stakeholders, including donors, government agencies, and community organizations.
- Solid understanding of Monitoring, Evaluation, and Learning (MEL) principles, including indicator development and results framework design.
- Strong analytical skills to collect, interpret, and present complex project data for informed decision-making and reporting.
- High level of organizational skills, meticulous attention to detail, and the ability to manage multiple priorities and deadlines effectively.

Working Conditions
This is a full-time, on-site position based at our main office, with potential for a hybrid work model upon agreement. The role requires standard business hours, with occasional evening or weekend work as project demands dictate.
