Job Summary

As a Business Project Analyst, you will support critical projects from inception to completion, ensuring alignment with our organizational goals and driving significant improvements across various business functions.

Key Responsibilities

  • Translate complex business requirements into clearly defined project documentation, user stories, and functional specifications.
  • Collaborate with Project Managers to plan and coordinate cross-functional projects, ensuring seamless execution across diverse departments.
  • Conduct thorough stakeholder consultations, interviews, and interactive workshops to gather and validate project requirements.
  • Develop detailed business process maps, workflow diagrams, comprehensive project documentation, and insightful analytical reports using tools like Microsoft Office Suite.
  • Monitor and track project progress diligently against established timelines, critical milestones, allocated budgets, and key performance indicators (KPIs).
  • Maintain robust project governance documents, including project plans, risk and issue registers, and action trackers, ensuring accuracy and currency.
  • Analyze intricate business and operational data to identify emerging trends, potential risks, performance gaps, and opportunities for strategic improvement.
  • Prepare compelling project dashboards, management reports, presentations, and status updates for various stakeholders.
  • Proactively identify and propose opportunities for process optimization, automation, cost reduction, and enhanced operational efficiency.
  • Facilitate effective communication channels between all project stakeholders, ensuring timely follow-up on agreed-upon actions and decisions.
  • Support user acceptance testing (UAT), implementation activities, training programs, and change management initiatives where required.
  • Assist in the development of robust business cases, feasibility studies, detailed cost-benefit analyses, and comprehensive project proposals.
  • Identify, document, and escalate project risks, critical issues, interdependencies, and potential delays to relevant stakeholders.
  • Contribute to post-project reviews, meticulously documenting lessons learned to foster continuous improvement in project delivery.
  • Ensure all project activities strictly comply with organizational policies, procedures, and established governance requirements.

Qualifications

  • Bachelor's degree in Business Administration, Business Management, Project Management, Economics, Information Systems, Finance, or a closely related field.
  • 2–5 years of progressive experience in business analysis, project coordination, project management, operations, or a relevant analytical role.
  • Proven experience working on complex cross-functional projects or significant business transformation initiatives.
  • Preferred Certifications: PMP, PRINCE2, PMI-PBA, CBAP, Agile / Scrum certification, or Lean Six Sigma.

Required Skills

  • Strong analytical and problem-solving capabilities, with the ability to dissect complex business challenges.
  • Advanced proficiency in Microsoft Excel, including data modeling, pivot tables, and advanced functions; experience with Power BI or other Business Intelligence (BI) tools is a significant advantage.
  • Solid knowledge of core project management methodologies (e.g., Waterfall, Agile) and business analysis techniques (e.g., requirements gathering, process mapping).
  • Excellent written and verbal communication skills, capable of articulating complex information clearly and concisely to diverse audiences.
  • Strong stakeholder management and interpersonal skills, with the ability to build rapport and influence effectively.
  • Demonstrated ability to manage multiple priorities simultaneously and work effectively under tight deadlines with high attention to detail.

Working Conditions

This is a full-time, on-site position primarily based in our professional office environment, fostering a collaborative and dynamic work culture. Standard business hours are observed, typically Monday through Friday. While the role is largely office-based, occasional flexibility may be required to meet critical project deadlines. Travel requirements are minimal, primarily for stakeholder engagements or workshops at other company locations if necessary.
